Find Malaysia Property

Thursday, April 5, 2012

Hey there folks! How have you guys been? Its been pretty long but I’m afraid the reason for me not having time to blog is yet, college. Anyway our hostel checkout season has arrived and it’s due next month. Checkout is a process where every resident must abandon the hostel for 3 weeks to facilitate repairs and the new intake of juniors. Only some might have a successful re-application to stay in the hostel after that. The others will just have to find a premise outside of campus.

Sometimes its really hard to walk around house by house and calling the owner to negotiate a price for a room or a unit. That’s where the internet comes in. After browsing through for quite a while, I came across this website called PropWall.
PropWall is a Malaysian website that specializes in Malaysian property. After browsing this site for a good while or two, I found it to be very  complete and user friendly. This is a website where everyone from all ages can browse without a hitch. Let me describe some features of the magnificent website.

For a start, I like the face that the website is very well organized. As soon as the page loads, you can find different categories of properties to cater to your need. You can click on the tab that says Properties’ and it will show you all you need to know in three sub –categories which are Top Properties, Most Wanted Properties and alphabetical order. If you already have something specific in mind, the search button is located right below these options and thus that should save you some time.

There is also a classified section that has 3 sub-categories. These include properties for sale, properties for rent, short term rentals and the all important option to post an advertisement. There is even an option to narrow down your search to either condominiums, factories, houses, shops, office or just a simple piece of land. Upon clicking on any property advertisement, one will see that there will be a description of the property such as location and condition. The owner’s phone number will be displayed for a fast deal but an enquiry form is also available to be sent to the owner to give you a call at your convenience.

You can also specify your search by clicking on specific areas such as Kajang, Sungai Petani, Ipoh, Seri Kembangan and so much more. If you are looking for a property that is in the middle of a town or city, you can head on down to the top area section. Here, properties are sorted according to their demand and selling prices.

Next would be my favorite part of the website, the Q&A department. Here, one can post up any question relating to properties such as investment value and appreciation later on, pros and cons of a particular property and many more including updates on recent happenings surrounding the area of the property.

The website also contains a map feature which is basically Google Maps that pinpoints the location of every property you need to know. Getting there would be so much more easier if you know your way after all.

All in all, this website is a pretty decent and complete website. User friendliness is definitely a plus point here and simplicity a bonus. It is indeed my number one place to be if I would be interested in finding a property.

Find KL Budget Hotels @ iBilik

Sunday, February 19, 2012

Kuala Lumpur as we know is one of the major cities in the world. It also happens to be the backbone of the tourism industry in Malaysia. Every year we have plenty of tourists roaming the streets of Kuala Lumpur and spending the night in posh and exotic hotels. However, not all tourists can afford such prices for an overnight stay.

Let us see Kuala Lumpur through the eyes of a regular backpacker. Instead of spending a good 3 digit amount on a room for an overnight stay, why not spend the night in a much affordable hotel since all he is going to do is sleep and be off the next day. The real problem comes when it is time to find a budget hotel while roaming the streets of Kuala Lumpur though. That is where http://www.ibilik.my/ comes in. This website can be said as the ultimate must have tool in order to find any KL budget hotels.

This website offers a wide range of selection on budget hotels in Kuala Lumpur. As you venture into the website, you will notice that budget hotels in Kuala Lumpur have been further broken down into it’s respective districts. This is especially handy in choosing the right hotel that gives you both the best prices and flexibility in moving around your desired locations. The last thing any tourist would want is for a hotel to be situated a great distance from the spots he or she wishes to tour around.

The website also gives you accurate details about the hotel you wish to stay in such as GPS location via Google Maps, the facilities that are provided by the hotel, and most importantly the overnight rates during peak period and normal days. Also, another essential feature that is offered by the website is the ability to book hotels online. Instead of going to the location and renting a room, tourist can now pre-book their rooms in order to have a hassle-free trip. Room availability is also constantly updated in this website and it makes it all the more trustworthy.

Make no mistake. This website is a growing directory and they have been promoting their ads through various means such as in the picture below.

The legitimacy of this website is definitely not something to be doubtful of. Truly a traveler’s best friend.

Top Cars in Malaysia

Saturday, November 12, 2011

Hey there folks! It’s been a while since I last blogged. Usual blame I’m afraid; exams, assignments, yada yada.. Anyway, I’ve been looking up for a car recently and with any purchase of a car, there is always the hassle of choosing the right car for the right price. Since I have do not have a vehicle of my own at the moment, moving around and searching for cars in showrooms was not an option.

So the next option was to utilize the internet. Google as you know, happens to be men’s best friend, or somewhere in between. After some random searching for about an hour or so, I came across a Malaysian car website that offers both a huge variety of cars for a very decent price. The cars are for sale by both owners and shops respectively.

CarSifu is the leading Malaysian car sale website. The cars for sale there are merely from people who are selling them and not by any form a compounded car from the police. I like the fact that they have a gallery for each car where pictures of the car up close are attached for a throughout view of the car. Most of these pictures are in HD format and thus even the most minute detail can be captured. More importantly, the car’s manufacturing date and distance travelled are mentioned too.

Cars are arranged based on their categories such as Toyota, BMW, Proton and so on. This is especially handy for finding a specific type of car say for example, Proton. I personally find this very handy as it helps me widen my choices instead of sticking to one model only. However if you are looking for a specific model, then there is a search bar that can be utilized to find you exactly what you need.

The website has also made it compulsory for the seller to post up accurate details of the car’s specifications. Most of the specifications are very accurate when compared to the company’s specifications. Also, the price is stated for each car to boost up sales. Knowing the price is essential because after all, we are going to pay for it in the end.

Also, requirements of purchase are also posted there such as a photocopy of your latest salary slip,  identity card, and your driver’s license. Some may also require a blacklist clearance slip. This depends fully on the seller though. Loan details are also available for government workers,  private workers as well as special schemes for students who wish to purchase the car.

The seller’s phone numbers are also stated for any inquiries that require a fast response. Some sellers who make a living by selling cars also share links to blogs that explains further about the car and the process of owning it. It makes this website all the much better and it is highly recommended by me to people who wish to buy a new set of wheels.

Well that’s all I have to share with you now folks. See you guys real soon!

An Experimental Hope…

Coke is the largest consumed drink in the world. Even in Africa, coke is the one drink that unites everyone. They have thousands of people on rickshaws and donkeys carrying these drinks till the very last village in the region.

As we all know, Africa is pretty well known as the region with the highest number of HIV victims in the world. Partly because of the lack of education and also poverty which makes affording condoms and other safety precautions a little bit out of the budget.

I was recently browsing through some random websites and stumbled across a great banner made by the Coca-Cola company. It’s an ingenious idea of integrating condoms and coke together.

The way I see it, it’s a great way to reduce the rates of STDs as coke is distribute the almost every single village/town in Africa.

Here’s a graphical representation of the idea…Tell me what’s your say on the comment box. =)

As most of you would know by now that i have a knack for collecting plane models. Heck, i;d have a knack for anything related to planes...lol.. Anyway, i've been down in my hometown ipoh for the past 1 week and damn, every day is more boring than the day earlier. Any more time here and i might get depressed...lol. And so with all that boredom in me, i decided to take out all my plane models which were kept in the drawers for months as i had no place to display them..

And so...after the cleaning of dust cakes from the planes, i decided to ride on down to my local dealer in a daily night market. Why night market you ask?.. Well for one, this night market is the only place where i can find the planes i want in the entire ipoh for and extraordinary price ;). Also, i noticed his planes to be well done and there is alot of attention paid to details as well. No paint flaws or livery mistakes. Anyway, my total plane count till today would be 15 +1 in my uni. Hoping to reach 50 by end of this year...Jah bless!

The pain of history

Thursday, November 11, 2010

Torture devices have been “improved” from the inhuman to the painless.. which doesn’t really correspond to the word torture at all. Nowadays, lethal injections, electric chairs and so on have taken over the ways to end a person’s life pain-free and humane. However, back in the day… it wasn’t really all quick and pain free… here are some torture devices that ought to set you straight for a while…enjoy Smile

1. Tongue Tearer

A heretic or blasphemer was bound, his or her mouth forced open with the Mouth Opener. Next, the iron Tongue Tearer was produced, used to grab the most likely uncomfortably twitching tongue within it's rough grippers. Once a firm hold was maintained, the screw could be firmly tightened and the tongue was roughly torn from the prisoner's head.

2. Thumbscrew

The thumb-screw or thumbscrew (also known as thumbikins) was an old instrument of torture designed to slowly break the victim's thumb joint. Thumb-screws were much used by the Spanish Inquisition and in Scotland during the persecutions of the Covenanters for extracting confessions or recantations. Macaulay reports that a thumb-screw was often effective in wringing confessions when a bootikin had failed.

3. Heretic’s Fork

The heretic's fork, used to induce confessions, secured four sharp prongs deeply and painfully into the flesh of the victim. A small collar supported the instrument, as it was rammed one end under the chin and the other into the bone of the sternum. Firmly embedded into the victim's skin, the fork forced the head upright and prevented its movement. Penetration of any vital points of the victim's body were avoided, delaying death and prolonging the suffering. At this point, the victim may have been spared, or more likely, subject to further torture. However, if the Inquisitor was unable to illicit a confession using the fork, death was a certain, if not immediate, outcome. The fork remained firmly in place, as the victim was taken to be burned at the stake or hung.

4. Breast Ripper

Used as a way to punish women, the breast ripper was a painful and cruel way to mutilate a woman's breasts. This instrument was mostly reserved for women accused of conducting a miscarriage or those accused of adultery. The claws were used either hot or cold on the victim's exposed breasts. If the victim wasn't killed she would be scarred for life as her breasts were literally torn apart. A common variant of the breast ripper is often referred to as "The Spider" which is a similar instrument attached to a wall. The victim's breasts were fixed to the claws and the woman was pulled by the turturer away from the wall; DAMN!

5. The Pear of Anguish

The Pear of Anguish was used during the Middle Ages as a way to torture women who conducted a miscarriage, liars, blasphemers and homosexuals. A pear-shaped instrument was inserted into one of the victim's orifices: the vagina for women, the anus for homosexuals and the mouth for liars and blasphemers. The instrument consisted of four leaves that slowly separated from each other as the torturer turned the screw at the top. It was the torturer's decision to simply tear the skin or expand the "pear" to its maximum and mutilate the victim. The Pear of Anguish was usually very adorned to differentiate between the anal, vaginal and oral pears.  They also varied in size accordingly. This torture very rarely provoked death, but was often followed by other torture methods.

6. Iron Maiden

Not the 80s heavy metal band, but the iron cabinet found in Nuremberg, Germany. The interior of this device is lined with strategically-placed sharp objects that is intended to torture a person unlucky enough to be put inside it. These spikes impaled the victim in the eyes, the chest and the back, but usually missed vital organs, so as to leave the victim bleeding profusely and in great pain, but still alive for a period of time.

7. The skull splitter

Just as it says: it splits skulls. This one resembles an angel's halo, but there's absolutely nothing angelic or holy about it. Inside this halo are very pointy spikes, which are driven into the side of the victim's skull as the screws on the outside are tightened. The skull splitting part comes when the torturer either grabs the halo by its handles and jerks the victim side to side or hoists him or her into the air, by those very same handles. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the top of the victim's skull is violently removed by the aforementioned actions, and that brains tend to spill out all over the place in the process.

8. Head Crusher

The head crusher was widely used during most of the Middle Ages, especially the Inquisition. With the chin placed over the bottom bar and the head under the upper cap, the torturer slowly turned the screw pressing the bar against the cap. This resulted in the head being slowly compressed. First the teeth are shattered into the jaw; then the victim slowly died with agonizing pain, but not before his eyes were squeezed from his sockets.
This instrument was a formidable way to extract confessions from victims as the period of pain could be prolonged for many hours if the torturer chose to. This could be done by repeatedly turning the screw both ways. If the torture was stopped midway, the victim often had irreparable damage done to the brain, jaw or eyes. Many variants of this instrument existed, some that had small containers in front of the eyes to receive them as they fell out of their sockets.

9. Spanish Donkey

A number of medieval torture devices have the word "Spanish" attached to it, but this one is probably the most gruesome. The Spanish Donkey gave victims an unimaginably horrible ride, and here's why. Victims are put astride, naked, the apparatus, which is actually a vertical wood board with a sharp V-shape wedge on top. Varying weights are then attached to their feet. Eventually, the victim's own weight and the extra baggage cause the wedge to slice through their bodies, splitting them in half. Yikes.

10.Knee Splitter

A popular torture device during the Inquisition, the knee splitter does what it says: split victims' knees and render them useless. Built from two spiked wood blocks, the knee splitter is placed on top of and behind the knee of its victims. Two large screws connecting the blocks are then turned, causing the two blocks to close towards each other and effectively destroy a victim's knee.

There you go… just some of the many torture devices out there… so thank god you live in the 21st century and do not risk loosing you knee or even a boob.  =)
