of used tin cans

hey guys…been a while since i blogged about schooling life…mainly cause i' joined form 6 around may and there’s also been nothing special to talk about in school….plain ol’ boring school… where some teachers cant speak a word of english and end up teaching maths…oh well…nvm that…

however something interesting did catch my eye….a 2nd attempt to embed the school’s name into the malaysian book of records… this time with a picture 52 meters long by 34 metes wide which is to be made ONLY with used tin cans… the aim was to collect around 180 000 cans but the students and teachers worked really hard and exceeded all expectations by collecting 186 000 cans.

the colors involved in making the picture were blue, green, red, orange, yellow and white. so the main cans consisted of COKE, SPRITE, 100 PLUS, F&N ORANGE, HEINEKEN, CARSLBERG, TIGER, REDBULL AND SEASON’S SOYA BEAN. the collection started around january…i wasnt in school yet but i heard it through some juniors who were involved.

the first step was to draw the huge picture on to the field…which was done by some measuring according to a set of scales here and there…which really wasnt my cup of tea and luckily for me i was not involved in that department. while the drawing was going on..the process of smashing the cans flat was also taking place…slowly and steadily the project was looking more and more convincing…

it was time….the cans had been collected and smashed…the picture had been drawn..it was down to us to arrange the cans….all 186 000 of them…

it took approximately 150 lower six students and 2 days to finish the project… and as serious as we were in achieving the record…we never seem to seize having fun all the way! =D

Passion or craze?

well its been a while since i’ve been here. mainly because i’ve been having a blast with my bro almost everyday..darn thing is i have to go to school 5 days a week…but oh well..life goes on…

getting to the point, i’m sure that many of you readers are aware of my NOT SO EXTREME craze of gadgets ..mainly electronics and all…well comparatively not as bad as my bro i guess =P …anyway the one electronic gadget that makes me go gaga is any remote control toy. always had a craze for off wheel rc vehicles but never had the courage to ask dad to buy it for me….reason?…go figure =D……

but be it from dad or others, i’ve had at least 7++ rc cars between the ages of 5 and 17..mind u 2 of them still exist and are in good working order unlike the other which may already be recycled 5 times… so this time i opt for something different….remote control but not a car…at first i was looking at an rc plane…but then there were 2 major factors that made me rethink it… it was a) the space required to fly it, take off, and land and b) the damn price…it starts from rm 500++….

i was discussing with my bro when he hatched an idea…he was like “if space and budget is concerned..why not get a helicopter?..cheaper and less space needed”….and after that i began looking around sites such as lelong.com…and true enough…price was way cheaper…the small ones would costs just around 50-80 ringgit while the bigger ones would start of from rm 200 to 2000++….

this was around 2008…and it stuck to me…was just saving enough cash for it… while saving as usual i did my research on what type to buy and what variations were there etc…and so it came to my mind that i wanted to get a 4channel helicopter…in layman’s term…4 channel means the helicopter is able to go up down, front back, twist left right and bank left and right. a 3 channel helicopter would do all of the above except bank left right…2 channel is useless…it can only go up down and twist left and right…the one for veteran rc helicopter enthusiast is 6channel…which is capable of performing acrobatic maneuvers and at the same time burning a hole in their pockets.

and when i went to kl to get it, the guy in the shop was saying that i should get a 3channel one because its not as easy as i think. but u know me… i wasn’t about to budge until he showed me how tricky it is to even handle a 3 channel copter…and mind u…its been like 3 weeks since i bought it and i crashed it more times than its take off…lol….well am still learning so yeah…below are the pictures of my 3channel helicopter.

once it was bought… my bro and i decided to take a couple of pics of our rc collection which i have posted here as well in the same album as my helicopter … all of them are in good working order. 2 of them belong to my bro and 3 to me…. well i guess my posts is more likely to be an essay…so i think i’ll cut off here…cya later!!

the 16 million dollar toy

firstly i’d like to apologize to all my readers who have been waiting for something new in my blog. Anyway…as u guys may already know….i got the air asia first stage interview which was basically a normal SPM standard and format written test.

I only had like…9 days to prepare for the test and so i got to work right away. 2 days were spent on actually finding my spm books and borrowing the ones i din have… sad i know. as soon as i got that settled. i neglected my form 6 and actually revised all my spm maths and physics frm the first till the very last chapter.

2 years of education cramped in my head in 9 days. And i wasnt surprise when my health wasn't fully 100% when i went for the test…and it got worst knowing i ad to go to LCCT to get lunch….one mineral water bottle and one hot dog made me take out rm 8.90…yes….8.90…hot dog was rm 6.50 and the mineral water was rm2.40….heart nearly failed but then again…no choice..haha… so diam diam makan and went back to the academy for the remaining 2 papers which were english and IQ.

all the papers went well and i was one of the first to finish,….good or bad?…go figure =D…anyway.. after i went out of the exam hall..i decided to loiter ard the academy as they had some pretty cool stuff to see. So i finally decided to go out the front door and catch some fresh air… and so i did.

after loitering outside the academy for a while, one guy comes up to me and asks if i had a lighter cause he’s couldnt work…and so i replied…”sorry sir, i don have a lighter as i do not smoke”… and he goes on saying “oh..its ok…hey arent you here for the air asia written test?”..and so my reaction was like..”yes…do u know about it"?”..and frm that we started talking and i soon found out that i was talking to a captain…lol….

most of my readers know that i’m an avid flight simmer and will talk abt planes for ages if given the chance..and so thats exactly wat i did with the captain…and he ends up telling me….follow me boy…i’ll give you a tour ard the academy..which was funny cause i had already told him that we have been given a tour ard the academy that morning…

he then took me straight into the most safeguarded area in the academy…the simulator training room…and honestly…for me… i saw heaven =D… and so he said..”u know much abt planes..wanna try a 737?”..and which idiot would refuse!! =D…so i was like yeah of course captain…and he took me in the simulator…and actually let me take off with it….a 16 million dollar machine in the hands of a guy who cant take care of a 2 ringgit phone casing…lol…

and so i tried it,….and it was so fkin awesome!!!…i’m lucky enough to have a recording of it…pls do not mind all the warning and alarms will ya?..thanks =)… and so i flew on all the 3 different simulators which were the boeing 737… the airbus a320 and the a330-300.

it was one heck of a day…i just expected it to be another normal examination day but hell no….just goes to show….always expect the unexpected

17 JUNE 2008......

17th june.... started as a normal day.... .got up at 5.30..... went to school... slept in school.... studied.. (yes i really do study)... lol... .and just had fun... parents werent home though... so came back home.... blasted music...played dhol.... slept....did homework...and makaned... as usual.... but then i ranged my sis up and she told me the good new...she got accepted for nursing in IJN and i was truly happy for her =).....

and so we were all like.....now only anil is left...one is a doctor already...one's on d way to becomin a nurse...now one is left...and funny thing is...dat day...i din on the pc watsoever....was not in d mood i guess..... so realising dat...i on the pc....hoping that someone good will be on9..lol....and i checked my mail as usual...now thats where the similarity ended.... i got an email...which i will copy paste a part of it here.....

last min hero =)

well the weekend has arrived...and so the holidays are comin to an end...and thats where my problems take off...lolx....HOMEWORK!!!!!!PENDINGGGGG HOMEEEEWWWOOORRRKK!!!! ...damn...lol....my PA teacher is mad.....2 essays 4 graphs and a bunch of questions....essays done....questions well...can be done in an hour or so...but graphs..

most of my friends would know that i hate drawing graphs...well...not exactly hate la..i just find it annoying to find and tabulate the data...and drawing the scale...i just like to draw lines on the graph paper...hahaha....summore my class all goody good students....3 days after school was out...homework finished....god....lol.... at least there still is hope cause the class still has the 5E blood in it...lolx.....

anyway gotta get back to my graphs now....cya!!

tom clancy's HAWX

well as most of my readers would know, i'm kinda addicted to flight simulation games. i've been playing fs2004 for nearly 2 years now and i didnt really bother abt wat type of simulation was it...as long as i could take off...and land....it was good enough...however 6 months after playing i got bored...so i decided to look into a different type of flight simulator...which was called comback flight simulator (cfs)....however i din download it cause of the types of planes...all WW2 planes...lol...sorry not my type

then i came acros this game called LOCK ON....at that time it was pretty cool cause it involved modern warfare jets and all...problem was...it had very few planes and there were no freeware addons to download....so that was a pass as well...and so i continued takin off and landing in my fs2004... but recently thanks to to my bro.....i found an awesome game called HAWX by tom clancy....its d best action simulator cause it features awesome dogfights and all modern planes...and the planes range frm a mig 21 to a f22 raptor.... gameplay is awesome...and soon i'll be getting it...haha...damn streamyx...name ni broadband....download slower den regular dial up..lolx

finallyy....after 2 years of saving....i got the phone.....w910i..... and its a pretty awesome phone too....way way better then y 5200 of course....with a built in motion sensor or accelerometer...it tilts the image according the angle of the phone.... it also features a 2mp camera which is sufficient for me but the downside is that it doesnt come with a flash... the one thing i find nice about this phone it its style....thin....big screen...and simple layout.....the colours are good....bright but not as clear is most n series

the w910i also has a shake feature that lets u switch mp3 tracks by just shakin the phone....quite cool and i would say convinient....but wat this phone is really built for is games.... some games make use of the motin sensor and i gotta admit its pretty cool....the phone comes with 3 games in which one uses the motion sensor.....the game is called marble madness 3D....u haveto tilt the phone here and there to get the marble rolling to a specific destination and so on. other games are abundant on the net but its kinda hard to find games which uses the motion sensor.... but i somehow managed to find a few and now i have need for speed in my phone which uses the motion sensor to play and gosh is it awesome or wat!!

this phone also comes with a stereo headphones....and trust me...its a guarentee that you'll dance.... sound quality is awesome and the bass is just...wow.....its hard to sleep without hearing some tracks first...haha...yes it does become an addiction...the only thing that this phone doesnt have that my 5200 had is a scientific calculator...lolx...not that i need it or anything...but u never know right?....it also lacks wifi but thats one of the reason why this phone has a price tag of just three digits instead of four......but who cares....i've got a pc so no difference...lol...it has 3.5G although i dunno wat does the o.5 extra G do....lol....


erm keypad?...well the keypad is not too thick not thin...just the way i like it...and its broad...so no problem texting if u have fat fingers...overall its an awesome phone...might not be as great as an iphone....but for the price....its the best deal......
