to all u SPM 2008 candidates...the SPM 2008 trial papers have been published....these papers come from all over the country and i strongly recommend all to get it A.S.A.P.....this papers are really worth it and its very normal for the real examinations to be based on trial papers.... some papers have a marking scheme along with them which makes life easier...however... the bad news is u can only download one paper at a time...thus making the process a time consuming one.... nevertheless the rewards are very very satisfying...pls start doin these questions and pls stop doin any other forms of model papers besides kertas ramalan....its not every year that these papers are published....we're just lucky this year.....thats all i have to say...good luck to all SPM 2008 candidates out there..... we shall make it through together...may god bless!! :)

add maths = confusion times hatred

add maths in one subject that one passes with flying colours or fails with flying colours :)..... there's no average average all...gets so damn sickening at times...i really dunno why our syllibus are so hard...and the best thing is there are more people failing add maths than passing it...this has been happening like...since it was introduced and our damned education system doesnt seem to be anywhere near changing the syllibus of this subject...i mean...why make it so hard until people cant even do it???....makes no damn sense....hai.....well i gotta get back to studying my add maths now...tomorrow last paper...add maths 2.......finally....tc

bad luck for spm trial candidates
Saturday, September 20, 2008
so far the SPM trials have been going on well...with all the subjects carefully scheduled to make life easier...however...life becomes hell once someone has to go through bio...physics...chemistry and add maths one by one....during a 4 day period.... has the eduction department lost their minds??...i dunno...and i certainly dun wanna know....i mean come on la...so damn ridiculous....how can u expect a student to sit for all 4 science subjects at once without any proper time interval...like there's a day...that we have to sit for BIO paper 3...CHEMISTRY paper 3 and ADD MATHS paper 1...all in that 6 hours....die oh....people just dun seem to get it that those subjects are hard...they all think that everything is easy once u study....yea no doubt...but at least have a 24 hour interval so that we can just browse through la....hai....anyway our education system sux la....seriously....tts all for now...tune in for more frustrating topics! :P tc.....

the alligator gar....
Tuesday, September 16, 2008
ever heard of a freshwater fish 10 foot long and possessing more then a hundred teeth??....no?/...well then get ready to check out the alligator gar..its part alligator and part fish...they weigh between 100-300 pounds...these fishes are strictly carnivorous..although human are not their normal and natural prey... records have shown that this fish has actually ripped people's arm of cause they go looking for it in the amazon....its breeding wildly there....the species is about 400 years old...now thats a primitive fish....a closer look at its snout will also show that this fish has a pair or nostrils...not something very common u'd find on any other fish..just another prove that this fish survived evolution i guess.... but to my surprise...this fish is a normal catch for people who got fishing for them in the amazon...it has been considered a norm to catch this fish....but nvm...the alligator gar will still strike fear in any fisherman's soul who goes fishing in the amazon....

the dhol's story...
Friday, September 12, 2008
the dhol....or better of to be known as the punjabi drum to most of u.has actually been in existence from the 15th century....since then it has been widely used in india especially the punjab region....the drum has basically a very simple construction....its just a normal wooden barrel...fitted with a leather drum skin and a modern fiber drum skin....however simple it may sound...playing it is no easy task...even carrying it!...lol....my own dhol weighs little over 7kgs....now normally the wooden barrel or the dhol is made out of 3 types of wood....known as "taali"..or known as indian sheesham...these sheesham trees can be further divided into 3 types which are "kaali talli" or dark sheesham..."chitti talli" or white sheesham and "lal talli"...which is sort of a cross breed between the 2 mentioned woods above.....mind u dhols made from this wood are extremely heavy and there's no reason a beginner should own one cause it doesnt come in cheap too....instead the alternative that i would recommend to a beginner in this field is to get a dhol made from "amb" wood or wood from mango tree....now these types of dhols are the most common among all and although it might not sound as good as the sheesham wood dhol...it is way lighter and inexpensive...and a bit of regular fine tuning should make it sound perfect!...my dhol is made from mango wood and trust me...its light...and its loud ;).....the instrument is normally played using 2 different types of sticks called the "tilli" and "dagga"....it takes a while to learn the basics...but oncer u've mastered it.. it becomes a smooth sail frm freshmen to pro...hehehe...no joke....seriously...just getting the basics such as the beat and tempo right can send a person to therapy....anyway....i've been playing this instrument for little over 5 years now....and i have a couple of pics of my dhol ...enjoy :)
as u can see...my dhol is totally the original wood colour....
the treble side is a normal drum skin u may find in your local music store...
many dhol players prefer this version of remo drum skins cause of its sharp and loud sound...
the front view.....there are 2 options as to the type of barrel...straight or rounded...in this case...mine is rounded
the bass skin head is normally made from goat's skin...it should be maintained and kept away from humid areas...
this is one of the ways to attach the leather drum skin to a dhol... but no doubt it has been agreed to be the best way....
this is the normal way of attaching the treble drum skin to the dhol...notice the double ring??....the above piece has been fitted to prevent the hooks from piercing the skin and tearing it...plus the ring also distribute the stress evenly ard the circumference of the head...which gives it a better sound....
this bag was custom made to fit...normal dhol bags are a rare thing to find here in malaysia and normally their ordered or made from scratch....
the "tilli" and "dagga" used for playing....this is my collection...
"tillis" are on the right and the "daggas" are on the left....
and of course wats a musical instrument without his master??... :P

taking my extra 300s for a spin ard kl....
Thursday, September 11, 2008
its been a while since i actually touched my fs....but then again...its always good to take my small personal acrobatic plane out for a spin....as much as i enjoy it....it sometimes gets really hard to land d plane.. :P....but no matter....here are some scenery files for kuala lumpur that i've downloaded to bring the city to life....the details are incredible and salutations to the person who has created this scenery file.....but first....we'll be taking of frm subang airport with an extra 300s acrobatic plane....now this planes are normally used in air racers where u have to go through pylons...etc etc as shown on tv at times.....its d only plane for its size that actually uses a boeing engine....now thats some massive power...capable or reaching speed up to 200knots....or 360km/h...it truly is a must have plane for all daredevils :)

mother of all games :)
Wednesday, September 10, 2008
i'm not really a gamer but then again...there is this one game that has really really caught my interest...be warned....ppl who are not interested in fliying and simulation games should look away now.... lol :p... yes....am talking about the one and only...microsoft flight simulator 2004....it is after all...one of the longest existing simulation games ever...and its the first one to be used to actually train cadet pilot....microsoft flight simulator began life as a set of articles on computer graphicswritten by Bruce Artwick back in 1976 about a 3D computer graphics program.....well now it has become a global trend for all pilots who undergo training....to complete an aviation course....a cadet pilot would have to spend nothing less then 48 hours in a simulator....by sessions of course......anyway....this specific version of flight simulator known as X-Plane is a much more realistic simulator but its abit to big and complex for normal use....just imagine 60GB of your hard drive taken up by a game!...yes,...it is that huge.....microsoft flight simulator 2004 or fs2004 is rated the most successful version of the microsoft flight simulator series......it features all the basic planes frm a cessna to an airbus a380.....many many other planes can be downloaded as well....and just about all the addons can be downloaded for free....here are some pics i'll post of my flight simulator....i downloaded some scenery files to futher enhance the scenery and i'm haveing a huge collection of boeings and airbus....for those of u who are already playing this game...i'd love you to drop a few comments :)....and for those who are interested in downloading this game...pls don hesitate to ask....its for ur benefit...you'll never know till u play it.....tc.... :)
